My Monte Carlo Resto Website

Today I am posting the pictures of my refurbished gas tank and radiator. I stripped them of all paint and gunk. I then sanded, primered and painted them chassis black. I also put a new sending unit in the gas tank.
Also here is the picture of my new 454!! I bought this off a guy on Ebay that was local for 200.00. It is only a two bolt main but I will be changing that. I have decided to put this in the 70 Monte Carlo. I have talked with my wife and have decided to strip the 71 and give the frame and body away. I have started to do this now because we will be moving soon. We just bought a new house so things will be slow on the resto. I will however be stripping the heck out of the 71, Look to the message boards on FGMC for information if interested.
I am trying to think what to top the 454 engine off with.... Twin turbo? Blown? or just a good street-able engine? I am not sure but a twin turbo 454 would be killer! Either way it will be expensive. I plan to take out the 350 and trans in the 71 and drop it in the 70 for now. The 454 will take some time and money to build.

We have just moved into the new house. Since I was renting from my father in law I have time to get the cars out of the garage. I am almost done stripping the 71. I just lack the dash and front end. The 70 will need to be towed to the new house it has no brakes at the moment. I have purchased a new master cylinder and plan to put that on at a later time. Once I get it to the new house I will do the suspension and brakes. Then I will do the floorboards like on the 71.
